Analysis of Poem- The Son is in Secondary School by Affian Sa’at

This poem describes how the author enjoys his school days. Most of the events are cleverly quoted out in the poem, and it is quite faultless. "My best friend did a heroic thing once Shaded all A’s For his Chinese Language Multiple-choice paper" is one of the many things some students do during  the examinations. Although these may sound foolish, it is very useful when recalling past memories of the old school days. I think that this poem is perfect- for the young and old.

The days in my Primary School was quite the same as 'The Son is in Secondary School'. I share the same sentiments and the old days just seem great. Classmates are sometimes annoying but also helpful and friendly. The class is filled with laughter every interval during periods. We played tag even in the class and hoped that recess was much longer that usual.

Primary School
-Zhou Zhefang

The days just seemed awesome
When I was in Primary School
Got a huge bunch of friends
But they are erm...useless

When Assembly started
Most of the pupils were in disarray
Lines crooked and a lot of latecomers
Much to the principal's dismay

Classes are as usual
But when there's abrupt laughter
Our angry teacher would shout
Quiet! or I'll call your mother!

When the recess bell rings
Our class would start to fidget
And when the teacher releases us
The last one out will be called a midget

The end of recess is near
But who gives a ear?
All we know is to play, play and play
But we all run when the Discipline Master is here

The school bell is more amazing
80% of the class will start to pack their bags
When the teacher gives the signal
Our class would be like an empty sack.

CCAs are just a waste of time
It's like doing CWO
When you look at other CCA groups
You realise they look like CEO

When you reach home
You thought you can slack
But when you realise that there's tons of homework
You will say, "What the heck!"

Schools days are just awesome
No freedom, no justice, no peace
What am I doing here anyway?
Oh, talk about bliss.

Oh and I forgot one thing
Who cares about this?!

2ND post for TERM 2

Hi! I'm back pretty fast, because I have to finish 5 blog posts by Term 2. (Not an easy task) Let me see, I got quite a lot of crap to voice out, but I'm afraid I'll get screwed.

Anyway, THE SABBATICALS FINALLY STARTED!!! OMG! I'm in the 'F1 In Schools workshop' anyway, it costs 100 bucks, and it was not good enough on the first day.
Today was the very 1st day, around 50 of us were gathered in the Lecture Theatre near the Science Research Centre. We were introduced to F1, and some theories that apply to the aerodynamics of a typical F1 car. We also checked out the different components of the F1 car, the evolution of F1, the importance of technology and etc. Lectures covered about 85%, so it was quite boring when we came to introducing the forces and resistance. I almost fell asleep. Hands-on session was to draw the chassis of the F1 car on a piece of isometric paper, and it was seriously tough. however boring was today, tomorrow we'll be designing the car!!! Yeah! That's the COOL part.

Hmm, I and James have finally finished Chinese ACE, and we were kept in the Staff Room to laminate and cut out the pieces of paper required for ACE. It was back-breaking work, as we were kept in there for about 45 mins. James cursed as we walked out of the staff room. Nice one, though. Sabbaticals are quite cool, you get extended reccesses, Air-conned rooms and learn things that aren't taught in classrooms. but I'm starting to regret this a bit. 100 bucks is a lot of money! Compared to other programmes with either 0 or lower costs, mine is EXPENSIVE.

Have homework left though. Infocomm Studies: Flash Interactive Website Project. I seriously need to spend time on that. *Flip Flip. Oh, and the sabbaticals.... hmm....yep. That's all.

Just to let everybody know, I'm leaving Singapore on the 28th of May. The day for the Chinese Common Test. I could have left on the 27th, but the test is compulsory, so....too bad. Keep in contact in China!:)

I'm seriously speechless now. Seriously.

Hope I have somtething to say the next time I see you. :D

1st Blog Post for the very __th time

Hi all! Erm, this is my __________th blogging, but actually I haven't been blogging for very long....... so I'M GLAD TO BE BACK! WOOHOO!

So, life is still the same and insane. I just got news that our class is the most un-unified class in the Ortus Consortium. However, I like it! Especially when the class is noisy. (Doesn't make sense) Anyway, we got a NEW book, called 'Village By The Sea' by Anita Desai. She is quite an excellent qriter, because that book simply ROCKS. It's quite touching though, as it depicts a poor Indian family living in Thul (some part of India). They live in extreme poverty and can't even have a proper meal. I won't talk about the book much further, you can read the book anywhere too! English: Chracter Analysis. That's the skill required for the next test in Term 2 Week 10. Still have a long way to go. Math test results going to come out, and I predict that I'm gonna get a 3 or lower for my MSG. OMG. I think I must work hard.

The other test results have shown, and I did REALLY badly. I totally mean it. Luckily, today is the last day of the week, and moreover, Sabbaticals are on next week and I got posted into 'F1 in School' or something like that. It costs $100, and I'm going broke. I didn't sign up for that whole-heartedly anyway, I was given 10 choices. This was not one of my top choices, but I have no choice now. TOO BAD. :(After the Sabbatical week is Home-learning  and Parent-Teacher meeting. We have to stay at home to complete assignments online while our parents have to go to school to meet the teachers. I'm sure that my teachers have a LOT to say about me. I'm DEAD SURE. Oh man...

While I'm writing this blog post, I just realised that Hwa Chong's SMB is loading for the past 30 mins. Why is the server lagging? Maybe HCI should improve on that particular part. I kinda like HCI nowadays, because people here are always helpful, even if you approach a Sec-3 that you have never seen before for help, he will still help you. That's the good thing. However, there are bulllies around this school. I don't feel like elaborating on that subject too.

Hmm, I think I'm done with this blog post. I have to complete 5 blog posts before that end of Term 2. So I guess I better hurry. I still have other projects and homework, so it's like caryying a ton of them. I'M SO STRESSED. ._.

Buh-Byes. Cya.
