I'm Back! Back!

Hi dudes who are visiting my blog NOW,
It has been quite a long time since I last posted on this blog. Why? Because I was in China for the past few weeks (28May to 20June). I initially thought that I could maintain my blog in China, however, I couldn't, the same goes for YouTube. It's a bit WEIRD, I succeeded last time, you know. So my blog was left dangling there for a few weeks with no one to care. Now that I'm back, I'm UBER-HAPPY.

While I in China for the longest time yet, there are a LOT of things I want to share with you, my fellow avid readers of my blog.
I was in Xiamen, a coastal city in Fujian Province, southeastern China. There are some peculiar things you would want to know. There's a lot of taxi companies in Xiamen. Companies like 海峡,坤驰,联亿,康福,and a few others. Unlike Singapore, Xiamen's taxis are not so well-kept, however, the fares are REALLY CHEAP. The first 2km is 8 RMB, equivalent to $1.50 here. Every extra km is $0.40. The bus fares are also as cheap. The maximum for a trip is $1, while it can go as low as $0.20. Woots.

The roads here are also not that well maintained. There are holes around the main roads and the traffic lights are almost useless! There are no proper right turn for cars, so it gets very dangerous when cars go around the corners. The traffic lights also go berserk sometimes. How do you expect someone to walk across a 20m stretch of road within 12 seconds?! So, we had to run. Yep. Run.

Things here are considered cheap. And there's feel good things around. Although you know that the numbers in the price tags are greater, the currency rate is about $1 = 5 RMB. In other words, you can compare the prices in Singapore easily. Sad to say, MacDonald's and KFC in Xiamen have the same prices as Singapore.

This time, I went to China for a 2 weeks or so. Then, my parents and I made our way to Changsha Province (长沙). It is located in Hunan (湖南), south-central China. From there, we took a long distance bus trip to Feng Huang (凤凰) county in Hunan. It took about 5 hours and itwas DEAD boring. After spending 2 to 3 days in Feng Huang, we took another bus trip to Zhang Jia Jie (张家界). The scenery there was so beautiful!I think I better introduce it next time!
